Stations overview

Wireless stations are equipment that connects client via wireless link in other words they are wireless hup but the way they organized in the network like any network component that’s mean it have IP address , subnet mask and associated gateway besides the parameters related to the wireless station itself like channel frequency and antenna type

 

 

 

 

Station Types

 

For this version of WMS there are 4 types of wireless stations as following:

 

1-   Spead Lan 8300 :

2-   Speaf Lan 8400 :

3-   Wiman :

4-   D – Link :

 

 

 

 

Stations Manager

 

Stations Manager is a tool for manage the wireless stations in the system Fig 2-1 shows the stations manager.

Stations data

Name               : the name of the station.

Type                 : type of stations (SpeadLan 8300, SpeadLan 8400 , Wiman , D-Link).

Locations         : the Location of the Stations.

SSID                  : Service set identifier ( Wiman and D – Link only).

Ch. Frequency : The Frequency in which the stations send and receive data.

MAC                  : MAC Address of the Device.

Encryption        : Encryption code of the wireless connection.

IP                        : IP address of the Station.

Subnet                : Subnet Mask of the Station.

Gateway             : the associated Gateway to the device.

Antenna              : antenna type ( Sectorial , Omni ).

Poly                     : polynomial of the antenna (Vertical, Horizontal).

Cable                   : antenna Cable type.

Amplifier             : have amplifier on the station

 

Stations actions

 

Next, previous : throw this button you can navigate the stations.

Configure         : throw this button you can configure the stations on the network according its types (see)

Add                   : begin to enter new data for new station.

Delete               : delete not working station from the database (see).

Edit                   : begin to edit an existing station data.

Save                  : save the new station of the edited station.

Cancel              : cancel the action of adding or editing.

Finished            : save the changes to the database and close the station manager.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stations status and statistics

 

Stations status indicates the work status of the stations. The status can be known from the color of the indicator bar and from the reply time of the station (fig 2-2)

Green color  : indicate that the station works between 1-200 ms.

Yellow color : indicate that the station works between 201-1000 ms.

Orange color: indicate that the station works between 1001-4999 ms.

Red color      : indicate that the station not replies.

 

   

 

 

 

Stations / client indicate the number of clients associated with each station that

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Clients-related Actions

 

Clients Overview

 The wireless clients are computers connected to the station via wireless connection and they can get link because they are assign to the station.

 

 

 

Client’s types

There are 4 types of clients

1-   wave card Client.

2-   D – Link Client.

3-   Wiman Client.

4-   Spead Lan Client.

 

 

 

 

Adding a new Client

Adding new client is very simple just enter the data of the client and choose the station of him as shown in (Fig. 3-1)

Searching for a Client

search  for clients is very easy too just select you field to search you can select non to get every client in the system or you can select what do you want to search for  as shown on (Fig 3-2)
